POP/SMTP Settings for Your Email Client

  Back to All FAQs

In order to access your DASH-hosted email account through a POP email client (Outlook Express, Thunderbird, Eudora, etc), you will need to use the following information for your configuration:

POP HOST: mail.<your domain>.<tld>
SMTP HOST: mail.<your domain>.<tld>
USERNAME: <your email address>
PASSWORD: <your password>

SMTP Authentication = on
SMTP Port = 10025 (change from 25 to 10025)

SMTP Authentication: DASH's SMTP server requires that your email program use your username and password to authenticate before it will allow you to send mail. In various versions of Outlook, this is enabled by checking the "My server requires authentication" option.

Below is a brief description of how to configure your account, including SMTP Authentication, in Outlook 2003. Though your email client might differ from this example, the basic terminology should be the same.
