Setting Up Your Email for SMTP Authentication

Are you having trouble getting your mail client (i.e. Outlook, Entourage, Eudora) to send and/or receive dashsystems.com email? If so, it might be your SMTP settings.

SMTP stands for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol, and how it's configured in your settings can affect how your computer and our email server communicate.

Below is a brief description of how to set up SMTP Authentication in Outlook 2003. Though your email client might differ from this example, the basic terminology should be the same.

Outlook 2003

  1. From the menu select TOOLS > EMAIL ACCOUNTS

  2. Select "View or change existing email accounts" and click "Next"

  3. Highlight your mail account and click "Change"

  4. Fill in your information as appropriate, replacing "your_domain" with the actual domain hosted with DASH Systems, Inc.

  5. Click "More Settings" then click the "Outgoing Server" tab. Fill in your information as appropriate, replacing "your_domain" with the actual domain hosted with DASH Systems, Inc. Click "Ok"

  6. Click "Finish"

  7. You will now be able to send and receive email from our mail system.
